Adventures with Power Platform: Smartsheet Connector

I was asked to create a sample Canvas App that made use of the Smartsheet Connector.

I created a Smartsheet account, and created a sheet call Star Wars Characters.

I created two flows, one to get the columns and another to get the rows.

Now, I realized I could have done this in a single flow, but for sake of simplicity, I created two separate flows.

I created a Canvas App the consists of two screens, a List Screen and Details Screen.

The one thing I noticed is that the Smartsheet connector did not support updating or deleting rows, just adding new rows.

Hope that changes in a future update.

Anyway, if you are interested, you can download the sample app at SmartsheetSolution_1_0_0_3.zip and the sample Excel file at Star Wars Characters.xlsx.

You will need to import the Excel file into Smartsheet.

Enjoy!

  1. Hi, I was wondering how you were able to add the rows and columns to their own collections within the powerapp after creating those flows.
